To be in the prescence of old friends and relatives who are all there for the same reason, is really a heart warming experience. The evening is enjoyable in many ways; you have good food, music, presentations, auctions, raffle prizes and more! It is definitely an entertaining evening for a woneurfdl cause.One thing for certain is that when you are there, you know that there is a prescence of something beautiful, a shared love for our friend Angela and a shared goal of helping children and keeping Angela's legacy alive. Angela touches the hearts of her family and friends to this day, and now everyone has the opportunity to share that feeling. The annual gala is a great way to share good times for a great cause. It was an exceptionally organized event, which offered great items to bid on, all of which was donated to charity, good food, drinks and entertainment. The night was inspirational! Although I did not have the opportunity to meet the late Angela Mazzaferro, I did have the opportunity to speak with friends and family who have been touched by her presence, spirit and dedication to an unbelievable cause.This will definitely not be the last time that I attend the Thirteenth Angel Foundation anaunl gala I only hope that others will take this testimonial as an opportunity to attend the gala and see for themselves! From: Martha  Thu Jul 26 14:06:10 2012 I had to write a paper on the book for my freshman eniglsh final at UIC. The movie is very accurate based on the book, not too much drama IMO. Beane does smash a lot of things in the movie, just like he did in the book. And how can you script what Hattiberg did to bring the win streak to 20? It's even more dramatic in the book than the movie. IIRC, he thought he hit a lazy fly ball, put his head down on his way to first, hears the crowd roaring, and realizes he just hit a walk-off HR.
